What this record is
A single live account at Alpari-MT5 on 1:500 leverage, running Harmonizer on the Extreme preset — the most aggressive of the money-management settings the EA ships with. That choice explains both the growth figure and the 22.42% equity drawdown. A conservative preset produces a much flatter curve in both directions.
It is a small account. A large percentage on a small balance is not the same achievement as the same percentage on a large one, and the figure should be read with that in mind.
1,175 trades over 106 weeks is a meaningful sample. It is not a guarantee of anything, and a grid strategy’s worst drawdown is always ahead of it rather than behind it.
What it is not
It is not a backtest. Every trade in it was executed with real money against real spreads and real slippage, which is the only reason it is worth showing.
It is not your result. Your broker, spread, execution, leverage, deposit and chosen risk preset all change the outcome, in some cases substantially.
It is not a promise of future behaviour. Markets change, and a strategy that has worked for two years can stop working in the third.
On backtests
We publish the live account rather than leading with a backtest, because a backtest is written by the person selling it and a live account is not. If you want to test Harmonizer yourself, the strategy tester runs without a licence — run it on your own broker’s history, with real ticks and your own spread, and compare it to what is above. That comparison is worth more than any figure we could print here.
Hypothetical performance disclosure
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Expert Advisors trade automatically and can lose money. Never risk capital you cannot afford to lose.
