How licensing works

A licence binds to an MT5 account number, not to a computer, a broker or a copy of the file. The same downloaded .ex5 works on every account you have licensed, and is inert on any account you have not.

That means you can reinstall, change machines or move to a different VPS freely. Nothing needs re-issuing.

Every purchase includes ten slots. Binding an account uses one; revoking it frees one immediately, and you can bind a different account in its place.

There is no limit on how often you move a slot. Closing a broker account and opening another costs you nothing.

If the EA cannot reach the licence server it keeps trading for up to 72 hours, retrying every 15 minutes. A brief network problem on your VPS will not interrupt it.

If the server answers and says the licence is genuinely gone — because you revoked it — the EA stops and removes itself from the chart at its next check. It does not close positions it already holds; you remain in control of those.

The strategy tester does not require a licence. You can backtest before you buy and on any account.
